Baylor University’s main websites, located at www.baylor.edu have been restored.
A few IT services remain offline, disabled or in a degraded operating mode, but the majority of services impacted by the activation of fire suppression systems in the data center have been restored. Technicians continue to work this evening to restore the remaining impacted services and systems.

4:56 pm – Banner and Bearweb (bearweb.baylor.edu) are up at the moment, but should be regarded as not fully stabilized at this time. Those systems could come down as repairs to underlying server and storage systems are being effected.
Summer I Faculty: Due to the interruption of services, the deadline for Summer I grades has been extended to 5 p.m. Thursday, July 8.
12:25 pm – All phone systems and related call center platforms (e.g., HelpDesk+, Admissions, Financial Aid) are once again operational. Also, the main Baylor University Police Department (BUPD) phone number is working again: (254) 710-2222.
Baylor University’s Waco campus is currently experiencing an interruption of core data and communication services across the university due to the activation of the fire suppression system in the university’s data center.
